Replica of Princess Lada's dress

A replica of the Princess Lada's famous dress  (from the famous Czech fairy tale The Princess with the Golden Star, 1959) was made in our dressmaking workshop.

The original from 1959 is part of the company's heritage to be preserved for future generations.
Although the dress looks simple, it took our seamstress 110 hours to create. The silk organza is hand-stacked on cream satin to create regular folds that build on each other at the seams of each piece. We were also able to trace the original metal thread ports used to embroider the heart motif on the front of the dress and its bordering.
An interesting detail is that we have a mannequin specially modified to fit the size of the dress and the silhouette of the 1960s. The dress will be worn on this mannequin at exhibitions.
