The Princess with the Golden Star, a popular Czech fairy tale celebrates this year 60 years since its premiere! The fairy tale had its premiere in movie theatres on December 18, 1959 and was seen by more than six million viewers.
It still enjoys great popularity, so let’s recall it together. Costumes and photographs from this unforgettable fairy tale will be on display in our Filmpoint exhibition space from August 17, 2019 to February 9, 2020.
In 2007 some props and costumes from this fairy tale received a cultural heritage status, and thus became a part of the Central Registry of Collections of a museum character maintained by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. These costumes and props belong to the oldest and most precious ones that have been preserved at the Barrandov Studio.
