Electronic props and candelabras (20,000 items)
Smaller props and hand props (70,000 items)
Carpets and furnishing fabric (20,000 items)

The Props collection is conveniently organized by historical styles and genres, from the Middle Ages to the present time, from fairy tale to sci-fi. Apart from antiques – both originals and faithful replicas made for film productions – we also have a large collection of period and contemporary pieces to furnish settings such as rustic country houses, impoverished Dickensian households, the workshops of various craftsmen, pubs, inns and the like.

The Barrandov Props Department also features an extensive collection of smaller props. These include both period and contemporary electric appliances, glass, china as well as utensils and tableware made of other materials, toys, musical instruments, laboratory equipment and medical instruments, both copies and originals of old newspapers and magazines, vintage photographs, luggage, and an array of other props of various types, rendered in a variety of materials, forms and techniques.

The Props Department also features a well-organized and impeccably maintained collection of carpets, curtains and textiles.

Recent major international productions featuring Barrandov Studio props include – among others – films such as Child 44 (2015), Anthropoid (2016) or the BBC One series The Musketeers (2014). In the past, Barrandov props have featured in successful projects such as the Swedish historical epic Arn (2010), the German series Buddenbrooks (2008), action spy films Mission Impossible (1996) and Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011), the James Bond film Casino Royale (2006) and the Oscar-winning Kolya (1996) and Amadeus (1984).
